The Challenge
MSI contacted Power Marketing in the fall of 2012 wanting to reach a larger share of the corporate event market for providing sound production. Ultimately, they wanted to generate sales leads, serve as a sound resource for potential clients and drive more traffic to their website. Though MSI is an international company, they wanted to first focus their website traffic on local (Baltimore metro area) corporate and nonprofit organizations.
In order to grow their business online, MSI needed to be more visible when people used the search engines, especially Google, to find the products and services they offer. The goal was to dominate the search engine rankings for keywords related to any and all sound and event production, concert sound systems and live sound phrases in Baltimore and Maryland. Fortunately for MSI, not many sound production companies were engaging SEO to its fullest potential.
The Strategy
After one-on-one analysis and conversations with the MSI team, Power Marketing implemented a 6-month SEO campaign designed to achieve their ranking goals and fit their budget. Our Maryland SEO company researched and analyzed specific keywords that would dramatically increase MSI’s organic search engine ranking. We focused on 20 keywords that targeted live sound production in a specific geographic (“sound production Baltimore,” for example). All keywords selected shared high search counts and low competition.

From blog entries and online press releases to website copy, Meta tags and more, we integrated and linked to these keywords consistently and often. The Results
